In Article 167—

(a)

in paragraph 1—

(i)

for the words from the beginning to “lay” substitute “ Nothing in this Regulation prevents the Secretary of State, with the agreement of the relevant authorities for Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland, from laying ”;

(ii)

at the end of the first subparagraph, insert “ Any such rules must be made with a view to improving and stabilising the operation of the market in wines, including the grapes, musts and wines from which they derive. ”;

(iii)

in point (d), omit “national and Union”;

(b)

omit paragraphs 2 and 3.
